Plant Accounting
The Plant Accounting section is responsible for the financial management of campus construction projects and recording the acquisition and disposal of inventoried equipment. In addition, capital funding sources and reporting requirements are analyzed, loan funds monitored, and campus debt transactions are recorded. During fiscal closing changes to campus assets and liabilities are recorded, with entries are prepared for reclassification, capitalization, and accruals. The manager of Plant Accounting is responsible for the operations of Plant Accounting, including the identification, development and implementation of new process initiatives. The manager develops the goals and objectives for the sections, and develops, coordinates, supervises, and implements special projects.
